Scott Elementary Kindergarten has had a very busy week. They used the garden reading mats for the first time, and even got to see Mrs. Battas in her diving gear fresh from the ocean. She helped celebrate the letter "Oo". #19SESPride #19EveryStudent

SES second grade gifted program students are working with the theme of "structures" this school year. They studied the structure of their faces while creating Vincent Van Gogh inspired self portraits, and polished their teamwork and communication skills while building various structures within challenging parameters.

Scott Elementary Third Graders had a great week learning and practicing new skills! Readers practiced stopping & jotting in their text. Scientist explored weather tools to help predict weather and our mathematicians practiced multiplication! #19SESPride #19EveryStudent #WeAreSES

Scott Elementary celebrated Patriot Day this morning, remembering the events of September 11, 2001 while honoring the heroes from that day, and every day, across the country. On behalf of the staff & students at SES, thank you to Colonel E. Jonelle Eychner and Senior Master Sergeant Justin Rogers for their inspirational message to our students. And thank you to all of our heroes: Police Officers, Fire Department, Emergency Medical Technicians, and those who serve in the military!

Today, Scott Elementary celebrated their first "Popsicle with the Principals" winners! These nine students received a "Positive Office Referral" from their teacher for going above and beyond during the first week and a half of school. They were recognized for doing things like helping another student with classwork, setting personal goals for the year, or helping someone who dropped their belongings in the hallway. Congratulations to our August recipients....they are leading by example and setting the tone for an awesome year at SES! #SESPride

Scott Elementary students enjoyed their last PBIS reward of the year with a visit from the Tye-Dyed Iguana. Each grade level enjoyed their own private assembly, and all students had the opportunity to touch a reptile! What a fun experience for students to learn a little about reptiles and get to see them in person. #19EveryStudent
